but go back to MGS on PS1. That was a classic! In 2 and 3 the story got a little weird, good but weird. MGS is the best in the series so far; great story, great characters, great emotion.
Mindless fanboys disagreeing with a comment like "I can't wait for this game!" Some one please explain how in the world you can disagree with such a statement?
Oh, wait, you're right. I CAN wait! LOL
but I'd like to see some more info before I jump on the band wagon. Let's see it in motion, that's always the true test.
I just hope the hype doesn't kill the game. Too often a game gets hyped to death, then doesn't live up to what everyone thought it was "supposed" to be. Examples - Assassin's Creed, Lair, Kane & Lynch - good games that got killed by their own hype. Adequate and fun, but not as spectacularly awesome as everyone expected.
I didn't play the original but am looking forward to doing so (I got a bunch of games over the holiday, so I really don't have time for it right now anyway). But this one looks quite a bit smoother and cleaner. Another great PS3 exclusive! Keep them coming!
because I was right with YOU until you last line of "you only own and play a PS3 so you don't know any better".
Oh, the irony of it all!
I'd have to disagree with you about that.
Great to see there's some old schoolers on this site!
I'd spent hours on Defender and Donkey Kong.
But I mastered Forgotten Worlds and Space Harrier on Genesis. Any body remember those?
if the shoe was on the other foot and 360 games looked worse in the comparison videos even though it wasn't being used at it's full capabilities, you would have nothing to complain about? No, you would cry foul and say they were being biased against your green machine.
Take your fanboyism else where.
This just sounds like a bunch of back-peddling and shrugging their shoulders saying, "well, shucks, we're doin' our best." Not good enough. They should admit they were wrong for running comparisons that were not fair. Plain and simple.
If I want double talk, I'll listen to the presidential debates.
Just man up and admit your mistakes, that's all I ask.
OH, and remove the videos from the GT site, if they haven't done it yet.
It's really too bad. COD4 is an awesome game, but the step back to a WWII setting is not going to advance the series, and isn't that what gamers want out of a sequel, advancement? This is a real bad idea. Hopefully, if we make enough noise about it, they will turn this idea around.
The biggest problem I see with IW handing this one off to Treyarch to work on a modern COD6 (if that is truly the case) is that many people were wowed by COD4 and will go out and buy COD5, only to fi...
A company as successful as Square Enix confused about the western market? Obviously, you are letting the "power of green" go to your head. Yes, I think Square Enix is very dedicated to the Japanese market, but there are a couple little franchises called "Final Fantasy", "Kingdom Hearts", and "Valkyrie Profile" (maybe you've heard of them), that have done pretty well in the USA.
And, you do realize that your comment along with your tag comes acros...
A very successful toy, but a toy none the less.
Looking at the 2008 line up for the Wii in EGM, it was a cartoon characters and fluffy clouds! I'm not saying that's bad, if that's what you want, but from a more serious gamers stand point, I have trouble thinking of it being in the same field as the PS3 or 360. I've considered buying one just because it looks like a fun toy.
this report is very accurate. I know many older gamers (uncles, friends, ect) who have just recently jumped into the market, thanks mostly to the Wii. This is due mostly to games that don't require all the complex button use like Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and most Wii games. All the power to them! It helps to break that bad stereotype that gamers have.
And no, they don't include computer games like solitare. This is pure console gaming. And the shame of getting beat on Guitar Hero III b...
but I thought the humor in the game was great, too. It really added a lot of fun to the game for me. I found myself laughing out loud to the smart-alec comments! Game play is great, but the classic "Romancing the Stone / Indiana Jones" humor was a real treat for me. For me, plot lines are very important in a game, and very few have excelled like this one. The real selling point - this game has personality!
This is exactly why you can't trust this type of stuff. Can you imagine if a reputable company like "Consumer Reports" did this sort of thing? "Well, this Bose stereo with a full spectrum graphic equalizer doesn't sound as good as the JVC single speaker boom box we got from Walmart because we aren't allowed to adjust the sound settings on either unit . That wouldn't be FAIR to compare the systems that way."
Give me a break!
And the sad thing, we on this forum...
Bill Gates (above) is a Gran Turismo master! That just strikes me as highly amusing!
Nice games and even a couple (Warhawk and Singstar) with accessories! That should push a few more out the door. Wonder if they will go world wide with this deal and ,like Darkiewonder pondered above me (does that sound strange?), what SKU it is for.
Good comparisons. LOL
When did Carrot Top go from skinny geek to huge body builder?
This article is proof that they are trying to do this.
Where is YOUR proof that they can't?
but I wouldn't give any money to anything endorsed by Don King!
